I can't speak highly enough of the work Traian did for us. We gutted our previous kitchen and bought new cabinetry from Ikea. When looking for a reputable installer we reached out to 4 or 5 companies that had positive reviews, including the official Ikea installer. (The official installers wanted cash to come out and give a quote, so we scratched them off our list straight away!) Of the remaining companies Traian's solid reputation stood out. He certainly didn't disappoint! He did masterful work, including awesome custom work with our under-cabinet vents, he built out the over-fridge cabinets so they wouldn't be set too far back for our new (and deep) fridge, worked wonders around the sink's plumbing. Last but not least he was a magician when it came to filling in gaps using excess wood from the toe kicks, etc. These last finishing touches brought the final product up a notch, making the difference between having well-installed cabinets versus a beautiful work of art kitchen. I was amazed how competitive his pricing was when I consider all the extra touches he provided. Traian and Jose were also super-nice, clean and positive. Exceptional talent and craftsmanship and we'll never use anyone else!

We had Kitchen renovated last year by Traian and his team. Because our place is a condominium townhouse located in downtown core. The space of the kitchen is very limited and shape is irregular. We like the IKEA gloss white kitchen very much, however it was impossible to fit the standard IKEA products into my Kitchen. Luckily, we found Traian on home star. We have to say Traian is a super IKEA expert. He knows perfectly well with all types of IKEA series and the most important thing is he knows how to twist them in the way that fits into your home space! Traian is a very detail oriented person and the work was very professionally finished. All of our friends who visited our place were amazed by the quality of the work. We would highly recommend Traian to anyone who is looking to have a customized modern looking IKEA kitchen! Lastly, we want to apologize for the late review. s we were renovating our home and I contacted different home contractors, for the kitchen work I Contacted TS Kitchen they sent their team to our home according to the scheduled appointment I think they have given us very helpful advises and ensured us about their best services, they worked very well. We are very happy with their Services and now I am also going to start the basement work with by taking the advices of their team.

We were desperate, as we had sold our house, with an unusually early close date, and needed to find a kitchen designer. We had bought a condo but needed to move an existing Ikea kitchen. As fate would have it, our real estate agent had heard about a designer who specialized with Ikea. We met Traian with TS-Kitchen and showed him our problem. Not only did we have to move the kitchen, but the existing components were no longer made. He came up with a design that utilized as much of the old and blended it with the new. In addition, time was a factor and he and his superb team built the kitchen quickly- total time 3 weeks. The price was very reasonable and the quality of the work excellent. We are delighted with our kitchen.

We first met Traian and he came and quoted our kitchen. We also met a contractor and electrician he works with on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the electrician was not available for our renovation, but the contractor was. Both the contractor and Traian we're very professional and their work is outstanding. They will work with you on ensuring you get what you want... sometimes a little more. We appreciate all of the work that they did and they had to come back at different times to ensure that all the finishing touches were completed. We cannot recommend them higher. I hired Traian after reading all of the reviews on Homestars. With Traian you essentially get a fully customized kitchen at a fraction of the price. This is because of his enormous knowledge about the Ikea product as well as incredible attention to detail. He is very creative and treats your kitchen as if it was his own. He will maximize every inch available in your kitchen all while making sure it looks fantastic. Our kitchen is not huge but had crooked walls and an uneven bulkhead and he shimmed and put as many extra panels in that he needed to square everything off with no added cost to me. Both Traian and his assistant Hafeez were as professional as I could expect, friendly, punctual, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves each day. I would absolutely recommend Traian and TS Kitchens to anyone looking for a master Ikea kitchen installer and will definitely call him again if we need a new kitchen in the future.

Traian recently completed installation of our kitchen, and we are very pleased with his work. This is the second kitchen that Traian has installed for us and he continues to provide exceptional service. On this job, most of the cabinets had to be altered to accommodate water pipes that could not be moved. The alterations were done with such thought and precision that they are imperceptible -- great job! In my opinion Traian is a true craftsman. He is also very easy to work with, always on time, and always very tidy. I have no reservation in recommending Traian. He is a real pro.

I have not written a review before, but decided to register on this site and write a review for Traian because of the amazing work that he did in my kitchen. We live in a ~100 year old semi and were redoing our entire kitchen, including tearing out a wall etc. I first contacted Traian before my contractor started to get his thoughts on installing an Ikea kitchen - we had worked with a designer to come up with a kitchen design based on Ikea cabinets. He came to the house and spent an hour talking to my wife and me about his thoughts on the layout and how we could improve it from the layout given by my designer. He had a number of ingenious solutions to ensure we didn't waste any space. He suggested that we call him back once the contractor had finished his work (including removal of the wall between the kitchen and dining room) so that he could do a final measure and suggest what would fit. Being anal and anxious, I must have sent 30-40 different emails to Traian while my contractor was doing his work and even requested him to come once and speak with my contractor about the cabinet layouts so that the contractor could route the gas lines etc. accordingly. Eventually once my contractor was done, Traian came and measured the kitchen and we finalized the cabinet sizes / layouts that would work. He gave me a price based on installing those cabinets and making some modifications to make sure everything looked built-in in the kitchen (the floor and walls are crooked, we have some old chimney bump outs in one of the walls, so he customized some cabinets.) I went to order the cabinets at Ikea during their summer sale, and was pleasantly surprised to see Traian there ordering some stuff for one of his clients. He was kind enough to refine the order (for example telling the Ikea kitchen designer which panels etc. to include / exclude with my order) so that I didn't have to run back to Ikea for any missing items later on. Finally, the Ikea delivery came, and despite being extremely busy, Traian squeezed in our installation. He sent one of his co-workers to assemble the cabinets, while he was finishing off another job, but made sure to come check in at the end of the day to see the progress. Traian and his team worked with an infinite amount of patience to make sure everything was perfect and level - these guys are perfectionists and obsessed over very small details - as Traian explained, he is extremely anal and wants to make sure the install looks perfect. I don't think there was ever an occasion that we had to point out anything to them that needed to be improved in any way! Traian also spent a lot of time obsessing over the top door on one of my pantry units that had a bulkhead in front of it - i mentioned to him that i was ok with just putting a dummy door and not using that space (a 24" x 24" space). Traian kept trying to come up with a solution to make the space usable - he brought in special hinges from another supplier to make the door lift down (instead of open outward) - ultimately we had to drop that idea because of the limitations of the space. He finally resolved the space by putting an 18" door and 6" drawer front, which allows me to use the space. Traian also brought in countertop samples to help us finalize on a countertop. He took measurements and gave me a drawing of the proposed countertop design so that I could get different quotes - he also got a quote from his supplier and negotiated a price that we were very happy with and ultimately decided to go with after getting other quotes. In summary - you can hire Traian with full confidence knowing that he will go above and beyond to ensure your installation looks amazing.

There are many reasons Traian deserves this 10 start rating. First, his part of the reno (we gutted our entire kitchen: changed the floor, purchased new appliances, painted, etc.) was done almost exactly on time, and this despite the difficulty of having to adjust the cabinets for uneven walls (our house is in a 'mature' neighborhood in Toronto, and is over a hundred years old). Second, he made the planning easy by coming to our house twice for a consultation (he was the first person we saw - we wanted to do our homework and see a few more providers before we finally went back to him), and he patiently listened to our wish list and did the best he could to accommodate our ideas (not easy, with our very small kitchen). He gave us advice when we asked for it, and when some unexpected issues came up, found solutions that worked. He was cost-conscious and saved us a few hundred dollars by being careful and efficient with his use of the Ikea materials, and above all, he was very pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. TS Kitchens specializes in customizing and installing Ikea kitchens and Ikea, as we unfortunately discovered, is an absolute nightmare to deal with from a customer service perspective. While I'm most people know this already, our past experience with Ikea was limited to buying a few pieces of furniture. Kitchen design and installation takes Ikea's ineptitude in Customer Service to a whole new level. Traian had printed out an itemized list for us to take to the store so they could simply key in the items and deliver them to us. This alone took over three hours, most of which were spent waiting for someone to attend to us. I can't imagine how much longer it would have taken without Traian's (very detailed) list. Several of the items Ikea delivered were the wrong ones (or, they simply didn't deliver them at all). Traian went back to Ikea for us to exchange the wrong items, and managed to find us the missing pieces - this alone makes his design fee well worth it. If you like the ultra-modern, Euro-styling of Ikea kitchens but are worried about making your kitchen look as good as Ikea makes theirs look in their showroom (or better!), I would recommend TS Kitchens. If Traian is a little slow to respond to phone calls don't worry - he's THAT busy!

I am a renovation contractor with thirty years of experience working in the Beaches area. Over that time I have assembled a list of skilled tradespeople that I can count on to do exceptional work, think outside the box and solve the problems that always arise when working on older homes. I am happy to add Traian to that list. I have high standards and from our first meeting to review the design until the last hinge was adjusted he exceeded my expectations. His encyclopedic knowledge of the Ikea system allowed him to offer many suggestions to improve the look and functionality of the design. During the build his work was of high standard and he often used different Ikea components in creative ways to achieve our design goals. When a stock cabinet would not fit over the fridge he modified it and used a drawer front for a door. The end result was a perfect solution to the problem and the client as very pleased. Traian proved to be a knowledgeable, skilled, creative tradesman with an eye for detail and the ability to problem solve. I would highly recommend Traian.

Traian is an Ikea kitchen genius. He takes such care to make the installation perfect with precision cuts, custom hacks, and unparalleled attention to detail. We are so happy that we hired him to install our kitchen. He was able to adjust the plans to accommodate constraints and still maximize all useable space. Our kitchen looks very custom and with the mixed cabinetry style, quartz counter top and modern hardware, it isn't recognizable as a typical Ikea kitchen. Traian accommodated our tight schedule, talked to our contractor to ensure appropriate placement of plumbing etc., and stopped by our place on several occasions to check on the progress of the site in preparation for the instalment. This aspect of our renovation was stress-free and it was a pleasure to work with someone who takes such pride in his workmanship. The job was done exactly when he said it would be. Each night the work site was left spotless. He worked through the weekend to meet our timelines He even came back to install a lazy Susan after putting in a full day elsewhere so my kitchen would be complete for me to show off to relatives visiting from out of town the next day. Truly exceptional - we cannot give Traian a high enough recommendation.

It is not often you experience real honesty and helpfulness from anybody. But our experience with Traian is the absolute exception. In this case, we asked Traian to fabricate a stainless steel top for an Ikea table. He gave us a quote and agreed to bring samples of the finish to us in our downtown condo. When he arrived he gave us the samples, helped us choose which to use and then told us that as he did not fabricate the steel himself we would be better off dealing directly with the fabricator – he gave me the estimate they had prepared for him and said I should deal direct. I asked him what he would get out of it and he said “nothing” but he was happy to help out. This very helpful man ordered the steel, wrote the specs, got the estimate, found the samples and brought them all the way downtown and charged nothing. I am convinced he did not get any kind of kickback from the fabricator because the estimate he gave us form the fabricator was less than his original estimate (which presumably, and perfectly reasonably, had included a small mark-up). I only wish I could deal with more people like Traian.

We hired Traian to install our Ikea kitchen after doing the design and planning ourselves. We also received quotes from a couple of other installers and while Traian wasn't the least expensive he was the only one who took the time to speak to us prior to providing us with the quote and he was able to start very quickly which was great. Traian was able to spot some problems with our design and provided us with options to improve the look and functionality of the kitchen. I think the best suggestion was building out the over fridge cabinet so that it was flush with the fridge - definitely gives a high end built in look. All of the tradespeople Traian recommended were also great (we used plumber, electrician and granite counter top fabricator all provided to us by Traian). The only thing I would say is that the job did take longer than we expected due to Traian's perfectionism - in the end we are happy he took the time because every little detail of the kitchen is perfect. We would definitely recommend Traian and probably would also hire him for the design process given how great he was with our little suggestions.

I can't say enough good things about Traian and his team. Traian improved upon our kitchen design to provide the floor-to-ceiling look that we wanted. He made numerous trips to Ikea to get additional parts. He was flexible to our changing schedule and tolerated a bit of chaos on our site while dry wallers worked around him. I met with Traian several months ago for a quote, after several meetings with contractors I decided to pick TS kitchen because of the great reviews. I was very nervous with another contractor in my place, as the previous one mess up my floors, so I wanted to be sure of my kitchen installer. After speaking with Traian he was able to schedule an installer named Bogdan and his son Leo. I was happy that he was able to accommodate me immediately as the previous contractor mess things up. The professionalism of his team, Bogdan and Leo were excellent. They gave me advice, listen to my concerns, and did the whole install in one day. They cleaned up there mess and left with a smile. TS Kitchen Projects installed our 'out of box' cabinets with custom touches that reduced the amount of materials we had to purchase and enhanced our kitchen's functionality and appearance in ways we wouldn't have thought to design ourselves (e.g. created custom matched toe kicks, created shallow depth cabinets, added custom shaped trim pieces). This is a busy company that made time to accommodate our schedule. They checked and refined their work throughout the installation to ensure cabinets were hung square on our curvy old walls and doors swung correctly over our range hood. They also asked our feedback throughout to ensure the directions the doors opened and the placement of the handles struck the right balance of pleasing aesthetics and functionality. We were very happy with the quality of the work and felt the price was fair.

10+++++ We hired Traian to install our Ikea kitchen cabinets. I received a quote from Peg corporation they were standard no custom work no design ideas and $250 less than TS Kitchens. I had decided on Ramsjo black brown base and Ramsjo white for the upper cabinets. Most of the design was already set, but Traian made a few suggestions, all of which we acted on and all of which improved our kitchen, design and functionality. The difference with Train is he knows what he is talking about he can custom make anything. He always asked questions, giving us multiple options and solutions, always explaining to us the pros and cons. His team arrived and they were all very efficient and professional, I must say Traian, Bogdan and his son were also very patient working with other trades and they cleaned up every day!! He worked efficiently and with great attention to detail and it shows in the results - everything lines up perfectly, even where the walls don't! The project was on time and on budget. Thanks you to the whole team at TS Kitchens !!!!

We got a great referral on Traian but were still concerned he would be like all the other contractors, just maybe slightly better. I expected to have to "manage" him and chase him like all the rest. Much to our surprise and delight he was not only prompt, patient, and creative he went above and beyond. He took our ideas and embraced them. Then he brought his own and made it better. He was flexible and helpful with other trades and never once lost his cool. Even with extra demands that come with every job when you open walls and are not sure what is there. In a business where you are constantly disappointed with not getting what you paid for, he was worth every penny, and probably more. We recommend him without hesitation. He stopped out in December to install the remaining toe-kick drawer pulls and stayed to help us move/level our stove that was giving us some grief. We certainly didn't want to take up his time with a "trivial" chore, but we are extremely grateful that he helped us shim the legs, etc. Thanks for going well above and beyond, Traian!

Working with the team from TS Kitchen Design was a very positive experience. Not only where they clean, punctual and hard-working, the best attributes the team brought to our project was their experience and problem-solving skills. We live in a century old house with a typical galley kitchen. We had the design and made the purchases at Ikea with another designer, but that didn't deter the team from helping us with every aspect of the job. They NEVER left us struggling or with unanswered questions. We found ourselves in trouble with crooked floors, uneven ceiling, etc. Traian and his team always found solutions to the problems, and always found the most economical way to solve any issue. One member, Bogdan, worked most of a weekend to ensure the cupboards were installed on time. There is not one negative comment I can produce on TS Kitchen Design. Working with Traian and his team was a pleasure. They really know their stuff. He provided thoughtful suggestions and even pointed a few potential mini-disasters (door hitting the stove constantly) which our friends at IKEA didn't point. He provided several value added services, like getting us hinges so doors wouldn't hit the other appliances, buying the right size cabinet door while he was at IKEA. As well as adding in an additional shelf at no extra cost (I mentioned it in passing and next day it was there!). Traian and his team were prompt and very respectful. The price was extremely good value compared to other companies. In hindsight, I would probably have brought Traian in early to the picture e.g. before I actually bought the kitchen, in order to get his advice and experience of what works and what doesn't, and how to maximize the space of our kitchen better. Apparently, of all the rooms in your house to renovate, the kitchen is the most stressful. This I was told numerous times before and during a recent renovation. My guess is that none of these well-meaning naysayers had encountered the likes of TS Kitchen Projects. Traian and his team of knowledgeable and efficient workers. We got the goods, they did the heavy lifting—from tear down to installing an Ikea kitchen with some custom enhancements as well as putting us in touch with suppliers who saved us some serious cash—they came, they saw, they conquered, and all in good time, to boot. Traian finished our kitchen quite a few months back and he did a great job! It was a tight space and we needed many of the cabinets to be custom cut to make work. Everything is perfect no complaints he does great work making your kitchen as custom as you want.

After searching long and hard to find a reputable company to install my new kitchen and reading multiple reviews on Home Stars…. TS Kitchen did indeed seem to be too good to be true. They are in fact the best in the business – HANDS DOWN!! Initially I thought it was expensive to have TS do the graphic planning and design piece (perhaps we could do it ourselves or get the store to help us out with it and save a bit of $$) but thank goodness we had Traian help us with the planning. He has an eye for detail, knows the IKEA product better than the folks at IKEA and can customize absolutely anything. He is a master of his craft and takes such pride in his work. Meticulous in all he does. Traian is truly a rare breed. He is 100% committed to the customer and ensures that everything is up to his high standards….including his staff. His crew is highly skilled, lovely guys who are reliable, professional, tidy and well trained. They too have incredible experience with the product and like Traian, want to ensure customer satisfaction. Using this company was the BEST decision we made. Unfortunately we didn't use Traian's guys for the demolition/renovation part of the kitchen - we did not realize he provided this service and had already committed to a contractor (we are still kicking ourselves!). This was a BIG mistake as the co. we used were unprofessional and unequipped to do the job. TS Kitchen was left to deal with walls that were not straight and unlevel floors. Traian coming in to our home was like a knight in shining armour -although he doesn't initially appear to look like such;) He reaffirmed our faith in the trades and showed through his ACTIONS what hard work, dedication and passion for what you do looks like. Although when first meeting Traian he may come off a little rough around the edges – he is anything but. He is an incredible guy who is a genuine, sweet, caring and honest who works around the clock to make sure his customers are happy and things are perfect. What more can you ask for?

Traian is exceptional at what he does: creating beautiful kitchens. Here's how he does it:- He provides insightful advice on creative ways to make your dollar go further (e.g. installing custom doors on ikea cabinets) and increase the durability and lifespan of the kitchen (e.g. premium hinges, etc.)- Traian's attention to details is second to none -- it borders on obsession but in a very, very good way :) He spends a lot of time planning and making small adjustments to ensure that everything is built in the best way possible. It's really incredible.- Traian also has a network of great people who you get to tap into as his client, from electricians to plumbers, to tilers and more. My wife and I decided to purchase an Ikea kitchen. We requested quotes from Traian and several others including the Ikea recommended installer. We chose Traian because he was the most responsive and offered helpful design tips on his initial visit. One of his colleagues did the bulk of the installation work. He started on time and completed on schedule. Traian exceeded our expectations by going far beyond what was required. Some examples: (1) We overbought from Ikea so he took the returns back with us to save us an extra delivery charge. (2) He was at our place within 30 minutes when our oven installation person had difficulties. (3) He helped us coordinate other trades including an excellent plumber and electrician. He did not charge us for any of these extras even though it would have been reasonable for him to do so. I think there are two things that drive Traian to do such a good job as reflected in the numerous HomeStar recommendations. He genuinely takes pride in his work and he thinks long term. As a result, he cares much more about generating a positive referral tomorrow than earning an extra dollar today. It is rare and wonderful quality. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I can't say enough good things about Traian and his team. Traian improved upon our kitchen design to provide the floor-to-ceiling look that we wanted. He made numerous trips to Ikea to get additional parts. He was flexible to our changing schedule and tolerated a bit of chaos on our site while dry wallers worked around him. My wife and I had decided on an Ikea kitchen and a friend of mine recommended Traian for installation. After talking to him we decided to renovate the kitchen with him and his crew. This was a very good idea and we were happy that we decided this way. Traian is very knowledgeable and professional. The same things I can say about the other trade people: Sorin and Derek. We were impressed by the attention to detail paid by Traian and his team. They were happy to explain everything to us and we had long discussion about the project and other things as well (they are very funny people). Right now our kitchen looks fantastic and we are very happy with the results. One piece of advice: if you are planning to renovate your kitchen with Traian, try to book him in advance because he and his crew are very busy people. They are the victims of their success.

For the last four years, we have been renovating our 80+ year old home in midtown Toronto from top to bottom. The last piece of the puzzle was the kitchen and dining room. We began the planning process almost a year in advance and had originally planned to go with a custom kitchen. However, when we examined the cost, it wasn't in the budget. So we began to investigate the prospect of an Ikea kitchen. After researching it and a mocking up a quick design using the Ikea online tool, we searched the Internet for contractors who specialized in Ikea kitchens. TS Kitchens came up on Homestars and their reviews were stellar. We contacted Traian and we didn't need to contact anyone else. He guided us through the design process (and many revisions), provided us with a complete itemized list of what we needed to buy at Ikea (which the Ikean at the store loved), did the installation, including a number of custom elements, made special trips to Ikea when needed and finished it on time and on budget. Traian is a perfectionist. People will think your Ikea kitchen is fully custom. Both he and his team were a pleasure to work with and have in our house. Our kitchen turned out beautiful. We love it. We highly recommend TS Kitchens and would not hesitate to use them again.

My husband and I wanted to install an IKEA kitchen into a 100+-year-old farmhouse. We knew we'd need a professional with loads of installation experience. I contacted Traian Stanciu with TS Kitchens on July 11, 2012 (after reading many positive reviews on HomeStars). Traian responded promptly and stopped by our house three days later, on a Saturday. We showed him our initial design plans (drawn up with Visio and IKEA's kitchen planner), plus our appliances, and he suggested a few tweaks. Because of other renovations, we scheduled Traian to install our cabinetry, beginning Sept. 19. Traian made the actual IKEA purchase for us, scheduling delivery and picking up missing pieces of our order. He and his assistant installed the cabinetry in four days, and we are thrilled. Thrilled! Traian is meticulous and takes pride in customizing big-box cabinetry. He's quick to make recommendations and to tell you when an idea will or will not work. Sure, aesthetics are important, but function in a kitchen is of utmost importance. From Day One, we were impressed with his work ethic and attention to detail. We also appreciated being able to get a hold of him—phone and email—without problem. We would use Traian again in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone looking for peace of mind while designing/installing an IKEA kitchen.

We are so happy with the kitchen that Traian and his team built for us. From our initial discussions to the final product, Traian was there to provide his input and guidance. Ikea gave me another company's name to do my kitchen install, after getting in touch with them and realizing that they were not willing to accommodate my working hours or timeline I decided to look at other companies. My kitchen renovation was my first foray into Reno projects and I have heard many nightmare stories out there. Thankfully Traian made everything as smooth as possible. I went with Traian after reading the positive reviews from other people in the same situation as me. He was quick to answer any of my questions, honest and fair. My kitchen looks amazing and all the little things I was worried about (like my cat being ok and not being around during the job) were soon forgotten as I saw how dedicated and efficient his colleagues were. I spent months researching the interenet for ktichen installer reviews, looking at kitchen installs done at friends and familys homes, checking the big box stores, until I came across Triain who was very highly recommended and I am very happy with my choice. I decided on an Ikea kitchen yet I had my heart (but not my budget) set on real Bamboo wood doors (which Ikea do not sell) and some other bells and whistles. While listinening to my wish list Triain with his exceptional design aesthetic along with budget always in mind, came up with a semi-custom Ikea kitchen, with real Bamboo doors, and other upgrades. Triain offers top quality service, along with being honest, punctual and very professional. He is someone you can trust in the ever unpredictable world of reno/construction contracting, someone who you won't need to call Mike Holmes on. I highly recommend him and his team, thanks to Trian I got the kitchen of my dreams and my husband the price of his dreams. The ease in which this kitchen reno started, progressed and finished and the ultimate stunning result, a true magazine style kitchen, has me ready to reno my bathroom and Triain has the job already.

I purchased an IKEA kitchen assuming that I would use IKEA's recommended installer, but when they quoted almost $7000 to take out the old kitchen and install the new one I went looking elsewhere. How lucky I was to find Traian! He was so patient with me as we went back and forth over email to try and get me the best quote possible (I ended up taking out most of the old kitchen myself). His installers always arrived on time and finished the job when they said they would. Traian himself could give lessons on customer service. He went WAY ABOVE and beyond what he needed to to make sure I was happy and taken care of, right down to driving to IKEA to meet me and make sure my counters were all the same colour. I purchased a condo and had 5 weeks to complete my renovations. Nobody would help me since 5 weeks was not enough time to install a custom kitchen. So I decided on a Ikea kitchen. When the current Ikea installers could only come and measure 1st week in July, I started searching the web. It was my lucky day when I came across TS Kitchens. As busy as the owner was, he still made time for me knowing my timeline was pretty tight. He helped design the kitchen and met with me and followed up as needed. The kitchen was installed on time and within my budget. I now have a beautiful kitchen and I absolutely love it. I would recommend TS Kitchens in a heartbeat. I am already planning my next project and will be calling Traian shortly.

After having a no-show from another installer, my wife and I reached out to Traian based on the reviews we saw on this website. We were not disappointed. Top quality work, professional service, excellent communication, very competitive quote and they installed a week BEFORE they said they would be able to! I have nothing but great things to say about them. Highly recommend using their services.

We contracted TS Kitchen Projects in late January (sorry for the delay in getting around to the review) to do a complete retrofit of our kitchen. The project involved tearing out the existing kitchen (all appliances, cabinet, plumbing) and installing new IKEA kitchen cabinets, plus all new appliances, electrical, plumbing, and a re-design. We used TS Kitchen Projects' services for their design work (a $400 fee) that we think was entirely worth the cost. The reason was such that, as part of the design fee, the company's owner (Traian) takes responsibility for any problems that arise during design and layout and will re-adjust the design on-the-fly, which we ended up having to do a few times during the project. Traian also takes responsibility for exchanging IKEA kitchen parts if a re-design is required, which is worth the time that would otherwise have to be invested in doing this oneself. We also used three of Traian's sub-contractors for 1) demolition of the existing kitchen, 2) insulation (required because the demolition removed some insulation from inside the walls), drywall (required to repair areas where backsplash tile removal required removal of drywall/plumbing (hook-up of a new dishwasher, drain line, kitchen faucet, and kitchen sink), tile work (installation of a new tile backsplash), 3) electrical work (moving several outlets, installing a new circuit, and hook-up for some of the appliances. Each of the sub-contractors did their work well, and we would also consider using them separately. Payments for sub-contractors was either handled directly or via proxy through TS Kitchen Projects. Positive Notes: TS Kitchen Projects work is exceptional, particularly with the attention to detail and finishing. The completed appearance has all tolerances aligned and less than 1mm off our agreed upon designs. Cabinet doors and handles are installed straight and fitted to accommodate an off-square room and an irregular ceiling bulkhead. TS Kitchen Projects also made accommodations for integrating our appliances into the design, hiding LED light wiring within the cabinets, and recommending the most efficient drawer layout. TS Kitchen Projects also did some customizations for us, notably cutting down cabinets on one wall to accommodate non-standard dimensions (i.e., reduced depth) and installing custom hidden toe kick drawers that we'd seen in some online design magazines. Negative Notes: We have little to say here. TS Kitchen Projects is generally professional and was accommodating to all of our requests. Some people may find themselves put out by his higher-than-average prices, but the finished workmanship justifies the price. We do have one note on responsiveness to e-mail -- (N.B. contact by phone or text message works far better) -- and this seems to be largely because TS Kitchen Projects is a victim of its own success. Because Traian is so well-reviewed on Homestars, he receives a *LOT* of contacts/inquiries and is sometimes difficult to get a hold of. That being said, when you do make contact, he is patient and responds to all of our questions. Work was completed in mid-March, so approximately a month and a half elapsed between cold call contact via phone and through to final completion of the project, which is pretty good speed for a complete kitchen renovation. TL;DR: TS Kitchen Projects does excellent work. They cost a little more, but their work justifies the price.

Traian and his team completed our new kitchen two weeks ago. We are delighted with the results and feel extremely lucky to have found TS Kitchen Projects. From his very first visit to our house, we could see that Traian had the knowledge, experience and expertise we were looking for. He has the rare ability to listen to and understand the customer's taste and requirements while at the same time offering his own creative and intelligent ideas. He planned a layout that adapted the available IKEA cabinets to our space while maximizing storage and convenience. With the detailed product list he prepared for us, we were able to order everything we needed from IKEA without confusion or wasted time. His skilled, reliable and cheerful team then did the total tear-out and reconstruction our kitchen required, taking the floor and walls back to the joists and studs. We hired Traian to design and install a new kitchen layout for our home, as the final stage in an entire main floor renovation project. It is impossible to explain in words how lucky we feel that we were able to find someone like Traian (and his team). His vast experience with the Ikea products, craftsmanship in the customization of the Ikea cabinetry (to fit our particular layout), and his tireless work ethic are only a few of the traits which make Traian stand out in the crowd of kitchen specialists. We had thought during the early stages of our renovation planning that we would design and install an Ikea kitchen ourselves. As most people who have spent more than about 2 minutes with the Ikea kitchen planning software, or anyone who has attempted to get a satisfying answer out of an Ikea Kitchen department "specialist", we were frustrated and annoyed. We learned very quickly that our particular kitchen dimensions would not accommodate the specific cabinet sizes available from Ikea. It was the second time we hired Traian. Our undercounter fridge could not fit in the space and Traian helped to remodel the 24" sink cabinet into a 18" one. He managed to use the original cabinet and minimize further material costs. An additional custom toekick was done to perfection and we were extremely with the result. We ordered some wrong parts from Ikea and his team even helped to get the right pieces in. It was clearly beyond his scope of work! At the same time, we had other Ikea assembler for the PAX wardrobe. Their work was much inferior, didn't put the wardrobes together properly and lost a bunch of spare parts. They left without finishing their job properly. Traian team came to rescue and helped to fix the wardrobe so that we can move in in time. All in all, we fully trust Traian's work and appreciate his professionalism. We would love to hire him to do further project.

I recently had the good fortune to engage TS Kitchens to help with the design and installation of my Ikea kitchen. Traian, the owner and primary installer, provided exceptional service, including recommendations to deal with some difficult design issues and providing expert installation of the cabinets. Traian is exceptionally knowlegeable about Ikea cabinetry and he is a master craftsment able to modify standard cabinets to meet unusual requirements. I was totally satisfied with Traians' work. I had decided to do a complete renovation of my townhouse kitchen with Ikea cabinetry and looked for a person who could do the installation. After looking through the reviews on Homestars I contacted Traian since he seemed perfect for the job. After meeting and talking with him I was even more convinced that he was the right person. He had a lot of experience with assembling Ikea kitchens and made several recommendations to my layout and design that I had not considered. That Ikea kitchen planning software leaves a lot of stuff out and the measurements it states are not as precise as you might be led to believe. Not only did Traian make good suggestions at the beginning of the project he continued to do so as the project continued and different issues arose that he handled. These would be things like the walls not quite being even all the way across or working around existing floor tiles I had in my kitchen. He even managed to make sure of some what I thought was going to be wasted space to get me another drawer. He also went beyond what I expected in recommending tradespeople to me. I had mistimed when I would have to have the kitchen ready for him to do the installation. I had to have the wall tiles taken down when I originally hadn't planned on that. Then that required a drywaller to come in. I needed a plumber to cap the water lines. I hadn't realized having a new wall oven would require running another line from the box in the basement... Lots of mistakes on my part but Traian took it in stride and got me the contacts of good people to do the different jobs, in one case at half the cost of someone else I was trying to contact. With renovation work you want someone who is not only knowledgeable about the work but who is also responsive. Unforeseen things always come up or there are questions that need a quick answer. Traian was always easy to contact and would check with me to let me know how things were progressing or to get my feedback on something. I have no reservations about recommending Traian for a kitchen installation project. If you plan to do any renovations with Ikea products give him a call and see what he has to offer. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We were not disappointed. Traian met with us and provided us with a timely quote. We have an older home so he was also able to offer some advice on what might work in our space as he is very knowledgeable with all the product and sizes available with IKEA kitchens. Traian was able to take a look at our initial design and make suggestions for improvement before we purchased our kitchen. Further, during the construction and renovation phases of our project, he offered invaluable advice on our kitchen preparation which saved us time and money in the long run. The final product we received is beyond our expectations. We've since had other contractors in our house who are surprised it's not a custom kitchen! After having my kitchen incorrectly designed by Ikea and about 30 tries just to obtain a quote from the Ikea's preferred vendor, I found Traian. With 88 boxes of Ikea kitchen already stacked up in my condo, Traian made himself available to be at my home to make an assessment within 24 hours. His expertise was immediately evident as he quickly identified several design flaws and made recommendation on how to both redress the errors and improve the overall functionality of the space. The installation took precisely the amount of time he had quoted and he went above and beyond making unplanned trips to Ikea to exchange unneeded products resulting from Ikea errors. The quality of the finished product exceeded my expectations. As a former bonsai artist, his attention to detail is unparalleled. Every seem and angle is flawless. As a bonus, he is consistently punctual and thoroughly cleans up any mess that may have been created. Since my kitchen install, I have hired Traian twice to do further work and would definitely do so again.

We recently completed a renovation project for an entire floor of our 100+ year downtown Toronto home. As with buildings of this age, everything requires a customized solution. After shopping around for a few kitchen designs, we decided to opt for an Ikea kitchen because of the warranties associated with the product but we were concerned about being able to use Ikea standard cabinets to get our "custom" look. To whom ever reads this review, both my wife and I cannot stress enough: Traian will exceed your expectations. Our house is old – over 100 years old. As a result, the kitchen, well, it has "character". The floors are not level, sometimes differing by 2-3 inches. The walls are not only uneven, but they are inconsistently uneven. This presents a real problem when trying to install cabinets (if you want them straight!). I think what I was most impressed with was that everything was made level, but aesthetic appeal was not sacrificed. What I mean by this is that if you only focus on making sure everything is level and not the larger picture, it can create such a contrast that everything looks weird. Traian was able to complete the technical work of installing the cabinets, while having the vision to tweak things to not accentuate the flaws of the kitchen's overall structure. Basically, it was a custom design and installation. Traian gave us a very functional design, and listened to us when we explained what we wanted. He also explained why he chose the pieces he did, and how it would optimize our small space and make the kitchen more user-friendly. We had heard horror stories about renovations taking longer than planned and were slightly worried. Traian scheduled 5 days to complete our work, but it was actually done in 3. There was very little mess and everything was clean and tidy once done. A few things needed to be done post-installation: a custom cut-out was made for our sink (inches were lost due to wall/floor unevenness), a custom panel was made to cover the side of the fridge, doors were custom cut to accommodate our larger than normal sink, and a heating vent was reconfigured so that it would not be under the cabinet. As usual with Ikea, a bunch of things were missing. Traian made a list of what we needed. Excess things were left so that we could return them. We needed some emergency electrical work done – Traian had a source. The most difficult thing about writing this review was trying not to rambling on about how positive an experience this was. Bottom line was that this was the best investment in our kitchen we could have made.

We designed a simple Ikea kitchenette for the basement of our new modern house and asked Traian to install it. Traian was punctual and knew all the details of ikea kitchen very well. Unfortunately, there were broken pieces in the Ikea boxes and my husband had to go twice to Ikea for exchange. Traian was very patient and worked until late to finish our project. At the end, we were extremely happy with his work and his attention to detail. The kitchen was so solidly put together that it took away our doubts about Ikea kitchens - provided there is a good installer. Even our builder on site was pleasantly surprised by the installer I brought in. They said to us afterwards how much they like Traian and said "you can tell a lot about someone based on the tools he uses". We think it is quite a compliment from other professionals. Obviously Traian uses very high end tools, and knows how to use them to ensure a quality job. Having read all the HomeStars reviews, we had very high expectations from Traian when we hired him. He definitely met our expectations and we are already thinking about hiring him again for more work.

his is the second time I've used TS Kitchen Projects. I was so happy with Traian's work at my past home that I called him back when we moved into a new house. Traian is punctual, very detail oriented and offers up great suggestions that enhanced my kitchen(s). There were a few things I wasn't sure about when I ordered my kitchen and he helped me figure it out in a way that made sense and looked great. One of the difficulties with the job he did for us was that we were using some discontinued lower facings and thought we had everything we needed, but we didn't. Traian exceeded our expectations consistently for all aspects of this kitchen project. His attention to detail, professional manner and willingness to help us through he decision process was outstanding in every way. We had rough plan and Traian was able to replicate and ensure our order was processed efficiently at Ikea and even helped us select the specific types of hinges, lazy susan's and drawer sets. He further helped us select LED lighting for in-cabinet and under counter which are amazing! We have done a custom kitchen before and love this one just as much and maybe more because we knew how carefully it was put together and it cost about 1/8 th! I contacted Traian early on in my renovation and he was very helpful as to assisting me with the kitchen design and then when I knew when I would be ready for the installation he showed up on the date as arranged and after the initial work, I had some things to do in the kitchen and again when we arranged for him to return again he showed up as arranged. He was very careful with the installation and in the end I feel confident and satisfied that I have a very well built kitchen. Traian even helped me with something in my house that was outside his scope of work and although I offered to pay him extra, he told me not to worry about it which I found was very nice of him.

We hired Traian to assemble and install our Ikea kitchen cabinets and countertop. Most of the design was already set, but he made a few suggestions, all of which we acted on and all of which improved our kitchen. He worked efficiently and with great attention to detail and it shows in the results - everything lines up perfectly, even where the walls don't! The project was on time and on budget, and both the time and the budget were exceptionally reasonable/better than reasonable (the whole thing only took a few days and the price was less than half of the other quote we received). In addition, we purchased under-cabinet LED lighting directly from Traian (his price was much better than the big box stores) and love what it adds to our kitchen. We were very, very pleased with Traian's work and can say, 7 months later, that it has held up very well.

I had a built-in European fridge incorporated into my Ikea kitchen. Traian had the patience and skill to perfectly conceal this unit as well as modify the cabinets to make it a truly custom European kitchen. His attention to detail and capability made me confident in allowing him to do other precision work like cutting and installing wood floor vents, custom bookshelves and shelving units. Traian made my kitchen amazing. The previous homeowners hired a hack job company that came in and really destroyed what could have been a useable IKEA kitchen. Traian had to fix all of their work and add more cabinets as well as modifications and many many additions. He pretty much had to start from scratch! He made the entire process very easy, from concept to creation it went perfectly. Traian knows IKEA cabinetry inside and out, and I am going to have him eventually work on more cabinets for my home (laundry room, and perhaps more custom work around the fridge). This is my first home, and my first renovation project, and I couldn't have asked for a nicer, more knowledgeable and fair contractor. I would highly recommend his services. DO NOT plan or install an IKEA kitchen without TS Kitchen Projects! Traian made our very inexpensive IKEA kitchen (Liljestad - 15% sale) look custom - and customized it perfectly to our needs. First, he took our online plans, and made some insightful suggestions. Then he came on-site, and planned more practical changes - including things like hinge upgrades (which don't cost anymore than the stock ones from Ikea), and banding (if you haven't noticed yet, birch coloured cabinets and dark cabinet doors leave an ugly birch gap in-between cabinets - no matter how many adjustments you make - unless you use TS Kitchen's specially sourced banding). Our installer took great pains to balance the look of the kitchen, adjust cabinets and counter-tops to oddities (like uneven walls, and wonky bulk-heads). TS Kitchen Project's folks were personable, reliable, and trustworthy. The quote was reasonable, and they stuck to it to the penny. Make sure to talk to TS Kitchen Projects about your back-splash tiles... we found out after the fact that we could have saved money (and time) by getting colour-matched tiles from TS Kitchen Projects. We were very impressed, and have already recommended TS Kitchen Projects to our friends and family!

After an outrageous quote from a certain store's installation service, I contacted Traian. He responded to my request promptly, reviewed my kitchen plan, and provided me with a very fair quote. I had used the IKEA Kitchen Planner software, consulted with their Kitchen Department staff and placed my order before having contacted TS. He noted a few issues with my plan, and provided cost-effective solutions resolve these issues. He showed up on time, stayed on schedule, used very professional tools, communicated his progress frequently, left no mess behind, and most importantly, took great pride in his work. His knowledge of IKEA kitchen products is comprehensive (don't trust IKEA's listed measurements!), and as a guy, he's very personable. I wish every contractor experience was like this. Needless to say, I am completely satisfied with his work, and would recommend him to anyone.

I have an old house, crooked walls, sloped floors, with a small kitchen space. Traian was able to quickly figure out a better layout than I had come up with. He is also GREAT at modifying IKEA cabinetry to fit your space. I was short a couple of inches for a corner base cabinet, which was also to accommodate a sink. He sized the cabinet down to fit my space, also modifying the door in the process. He is very picky in his work, with an extremely high attention to detail. Traian also came back several times, without complaint, when it turned out that IKEA had given me the wrong components and he couldn't do the entire job in one day as a result. EXCELLENT workmanship (and his high-end German tool collection will make you drool....)
